PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for determining an angular position using a resolver are provided to more accurately detect the angular position of a resolver at a high rotational speed. CONSTITUTION: A method of determining an angular position using a resolver is as follows. An exciter winding(R) is excited using a reference signal. A first signal in a first winding(S1) due to the reference signal and a second signal in a second(S2) due to the reference signal are sampled. A Fourier coefficient which is not compensated for the first signal and another Fourier coefficient which is not compensated for the second signal are determined. The angular position of a resolver is determined from the Fourier coefficients for the first and second signals. The compensated Fourier coefficient for the first signal and the compensated Fourier coefficient for the second signal are determined.
