A mold blocking member is provided for use in a vent bore of a mold for the manufacture of rubber products. The mold blocking member has a tubular hollow body (20) having a first end (12) and a second end (16), wherein the first end (12) has a cap (30) having an outer dimension greater than the diameter of the tubular hollow body (20), wherein the cap (30) comprises at least one undercut (40) forming an opening, and wherein the opening is positioned such that it is adjacent to a mold surface when the mold blocking member (10) is installed in the vent bore of the mold. |
