<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering switch device capable of simplifying the assembly work of a steering switch to a steering wheel, and reducing the cost and the size of the entire device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The steering switch device is arranged on a steering wheel 101 in an oscillating manner via an oscillation shaft, and including operation levers 24, 25 for operating shift-up switches 20, 30 to output the signal for executing the shift-up of a transmission, and shift-down switches 21, 31 to output the signal for executing the shift-down of the transmission. The operation levers 24, 25 have a shift-down switch operation unit for operating the shift-down switches 21, 31 on the surface side of the steering wheel 101, and a shift-up switch operation unit for operating the shift-up switches 20, 30 on a back side of the steering wheel 101.
