<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle surroundings display device that displays an image showing the surroundings of a vehicle with high visibility. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vehicle surroundings display device includes: a photosensitive means that receives reflection light and irradiation light from an object around a vehicle by a light receiving surface and outputs a charge signal according to an amount of received light at each of positions on the light receiving surface; an image generation means that generates an image corresponding to the light receiving surface on the basis of the charge signal so that the image may be higher in brightness as the charge signal becomes larger; and a display means for displaying the image. It is also provided with a correction region specifying means that specifies a correction region to be corrected for higher brightness of display in the image, and a sensitivity setting means that sets the sensitivity of the light receiving surface corresponding to the correction region to be relatively higher than those of regions other than the correction region, in the photosensitive means.
