FIBER LASER RESONATOR AND LASER OSCILLATION METHOD USING SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold a wideband property by expanding a tuning wavelength area of laser light which is oscillated by using optical non-linearity and to reduce ASE noise generated in a laser resonator. SOLUTION: A fiber laser resonator includes: a first feedback element for reflecting light of wideband wavelength at a high reflection factor; a gain fiber arranged on the post stage of the first feedback element; a light source for inputting excitation light to the gain fiber; an acousto-optic wavelength variable filter arranged on the post stage of the gain fiber to diffract light of a wavelength corresponding to a frequency of a supplied RF signal; an RF power source for supplying the RF signal to the acousto-optic wavelength variable filter; and a second feedback element for partially reflecting light diffracted by the acousto-optic wavelength variable filter.
