PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the load of an imaging apparatus in remote control of the imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: This control method includes: a first management step of managing a command to be used for AF processing in the imaging apparatus, and a second management step of managing a command to be used for imaging processing in the imaging apparatus. When the commands for the AF processing are redundant in the first management step, command decimation is performed to the commands for the AF processing, the decimation being not performed when the commands for the imaging processing are redundant in the second management step.
