AUTOMATIC GRINDING APPARATUS FOR SPOT WELDING AREA BY USING SPOT WELDING ROBOT AND THE METHOD

PURPOSE: An automatic grinding apparatus for a spot-welded area by using a spot welding robot and an automatic grinding method using the same are provided to improve productivity and prevent damage to products by grinding within a welding line so as to minimize the distance and the time to move the products to a place for grinding. CONSTITUTION: An automatic grinding apparatus for a spot-welded area by using a spot welding robot(10) comprises the spot welding robot and a grinder(20). The spot welding robot is installed in a weld line(1). Grinding program data are saved in a memory unit of the spot welding robot. The grinder is installed in the weld line. After the metal plate is spot-welded, the spot welding part of the metal plate is automatically grinded in the weld line.
