PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a whitening cosmetic which is excellent especially in a whitening effect, can prevent and treat stains and freckles, and is excellent in safety for applying to skins. SOLUTION: The whitening cosmetic is compounded with a swine placenta extract having a nitrogen content of 0.4 to 0.7 wt.%, wherein the placenta extract is contained in a concentration of 0.1 to 60%.
