<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the sameness between a plurality of moving image streams with high accuracy by simple processing. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A block setting part 11 sets one or more retrieval areas in the current frame in input moving image data, and further, sequentially sets a plurality of blocks composed of the same number of adjacent pixels in each of the retrieval areas. A correlation operating part 12 calculates a correlation between image data in the blocks set in the current frame and image data in the same area as that of corresponding blocks before or after the frame. A position information outputting part 13 outputs position information indicating the position of a block having the maximum correlation in each retrieval area as a result of the correlation operation in each retrieval area. A feature amount outputting part 14 outputs information obtained by associating the position information output for each retrieval area with each frame of the moving image data as a feature amount of the moving image data.
