The compressor has a compressor housing (5) comprising a diffuser channel (9) and a compressor wheel (7) rotatably supported in an inlet channel (6) of the compressor housing. Guide vanes (10) are arranged in a media stream downstream of the compressor wheel. An annular piston (11) is arranged in the compressor housing in an axially movable manner. The guide vanes are arranged at the annular piston in an outwardly directed manner and partly extend into the diffuser channel. The compressor housing is made from a plastic material.
