<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the operation force while preventing the gap against a hook part from being opened by an inadvertent force against a cover part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a harness connecting device 1 comprising a hook connector 13 comprising a hook part 19 arranged in a hook body part 17 and the cover part 21 energizingly engaged with the hook part 19 and openably closing the gap against the hook part 19 and a tongue connector 15 comprising a tongue part 53 engaging with the hook part 19 at the tip of a tongue body part 51 and preventing detaching of the tongue part 53 engaged with the hook part 19 by the cover part 21, a lock mechanism 65 locking the rotation of the cover part 21 against the hook part 19 in the closed position and unlockable by a shifting operation different from rotation of the cover part 21 is provided between the hook body part 17 and the cover part 21.
