<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decurling mechanism can sufficiently eliminate any curling habit of a paper sheet subjected to the folding. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The decurling mechanism includes four sets of conveying roller pairs. Intermediate conveying roller pairs 42 are arranged so that the height position of a holding part 423 is located above a holding part 413 of starting end conveying roller pairs 41. Intermediate conveying roller pairs 43 are arranged so that the height position of a holding part 433 is located below a holding part 493 of terminating end conveying roller pairs 49. In the roller pairs 41, 42, 49, each upper conveying roller is urged toward each lower conveying roller by a spring, and in the roller pairs 43, its lower conveying roller 432 is urged toward an upper conveying roller 431 by a spring 434.
