Intended is to improve a crack progress predicting precision by considering the dispersion of errors by an inspector or an inspecting method. For this intention, there is provided a crack progress predicting method comprising the correlative information creating step of measuring the cracking length having occurred in a test piece, by a plurality of inspectors and/or testing methods, thereby to determine the correlative information between the data obtained by the measurement and the actual cracking state, the cracking length estimating step of estimating the actual cracking length having occurred in a tested article, on the basis of the correlative information which was measured by the inspector at the time of testing of the tested article, and the crack progressing curve estimating step of estimating the crack progressing curve in the tested article from the starting point of the cracking length estimated at the cracking length estimating step. |
