PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk playback device reproducing an optical disk while reducing key operations of a device body or a remote controller. SOLUTION: The optical disk playback device 1 is provided with a tray which is freely inserted/ejected into/from the device body to place an optical disk thereon, and an object detection means 17 for detecting an object (e.g., a part of the body of a user) within a predetermined range.
