A resonator of the ultrasonic motor and ultrasonic motor using the same is provided to make the resonator of the foil type by enlarging the area of the piezoelectric element although the thickness of the resonator of the ultrasonic motor is thin. The resonator of the ultrasonic motor comprises the hollow cross shape elastic body(301) and a plurality of piezoelectric elements(302). The hollow cross shape elastic body comprises the first to the fourth cross axis and the hollow. The hollow is formed inside of the first to fourth cross axis in cross shape. The plurality of piezoelectric elements is mounted on the front side or the backplate of each of the first to the fourth cross axis correspondingly. In the corresponding piezoelectric element, the polarization axis comprises on the contrary. The piezoelectric element is separated in the center of piezoelectric element and in the outside edge of the first to fourth with the predetermined interval.
