The clamping device has a clamping rail (100) for receiving one or multiple tension belts. The clamping rail has an opening area for detachably fastening an opening loop of the tension belt. A hollow area with two arms and a rear wall (120) are provided for receiving the opening loop. The opening area has an opening and two guide walls for guiding the opening loop. Projections are provided on each guide wall for supporting the opening loop. An independent claim is included for a method for positioning an opening loop of tension belt in concavity area of a clamping rail.
