<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer solid electrolyte secondary battery having an excellent stability to the passage of time without the degradation of a battery capacity and having a sufficient battery life, even in the case that the solid polymer electrolyte type secondary battery including a polymer solid electrolyte is preserved in a charging condition under a high temperature environment. <P>SOLUTION: A polymer solid electrolyte secondary battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a solid polymer electrolyte, and a lithium salt. In the battery, the solid polymer electrolyte secondary battery superior in the stability over time and the safety is obtained by forming a solid polymer electrolyte while applying a voltage. Further, in order to enhance the effectiveness, a salt monomer having an ionic interaction formed from an acid component having a polymerizable functional group and an amine component having a polymerizable functional group is used for the solid polymer electrolyte, and it is preferable to set the magnitude of an applied voltage at the magnitude at which an electrochemical reaction does not take place.
