The method involves generating a level 2 frame i.e. Ethernet frame, in which Internet protocol (IP) frame from a user terminal (11) is encapsulated. The level 2 frame is sent to a Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol (L2TP) network server (15) via an L2TP connection (17). Source and recipient address lookup tables are generated. Source address of the level 2 frame is determined based on a source address of the IP frame and the source address lookup table. Recipient address of the level 2 frame is determined based on a recipient address of the IP frame and the recipient address lookup table. An independent claim is also included for a telecommunication device between a user terminal and a Layer 2 Tunneling Protocol network server, comprising a reception unit. |
