PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a useful treatment method where selenium is removed from polluted water owing to simple equipment and operation by effectively utilizing the original adsorbing function of iron powder to selenium. SOLUTION: Disclosed is a purification method for selenium-containing water characterized in that selenium-containing water is brought into contact with iron powder at≥35°C, thus selenium is adsorbed on the iron powder, so as to be removed.
