<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal processing device that effectively utilizes the color reproduction range of a display device, while suppressing the difference between color coordinates of an image and those of the real object to some extent, and to provide a projection video display. <P>SOLUTION: The signal processing device 200 includes: a color coordinate adjustment section 210 for performing color coordinate adjustment processing, according to the color reproduction range of the display device; a lightness adjustment section 220 for performing lightness adjustment processing; a display device control section 240 for generating a video output signal by using the color coordinates adjusted by the color coordinate adjustment processing and the luminance component adjusted by the lightness adjustment processing; and a ratio control section 230 for controlling, according to the color saturation of the video input signal, the degree of color coordinate adjustment contribution which the color coordinate adjustment processing gives to the video output signal and a degree of lightness component contribution which the lightness adjustment processing gives to the video output signal. The ratio control section 230 makes the color coordinate adjustment contribution degree rise and makes the lightness component contribution degree lower, when the color saturation of the video input signal is higher than a prescribed threshold in a specific hue. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
