PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defrost detection device with excellent detecting accuracy at an easy rate. SOLUTION: The defrost detection device includes a detecting section in which an electrode is formed on a substrate with a predetermined pattern, a dielectric constant instrument connected with the electrode of the detecting section to obtain the dielectric constant of the detecting section by means of the TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) method, and a testing apparatus identifying defrost conditions based on the dielectric constant obtained from the dielectric constant instrument.
