<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method for improving uniformity in density and efficiency of transfer, preventing the occurrence of missing and rough surface of image caused during/by transfer, maintaining long service life, and achieving easy and satisfactory cleaning of an intermediate transfer body. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming method for transferring toner image on a photosensitive member onto the intermediate transfer body primarily and then transferring the toner image onto a transfer material secondarily, toner C having transmission factor of 50-98% and toner A having transmission factor of 30% or less are used together, rate of elastic deformation Ea (%) of the toner A expressed by the expression: Ea (%)=(Sa-Ia)×100/Sa and rate of elastic deformation Ec (%) of the toner C expressed by the expression: Ec (%)=(Sc-Ic)×100/Sc (wherein, the maximum amount of displacement of the toner A and the toner C for load of 9.8×10<SP>-5</SP>N is Sa and Sc, respectively, and amount of plastic displacement of them is Ia and Ic, respectively) satisfy the following relationship: 0<Ec-Ea≤30 with respect to all of toner B, and the toner image to be transferred onto the intermediate transfer body is formed by overlapping the toner A on the toner C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
