PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel and an imaging apparatus that securely prevent resonance of a housing when a drive motor is operated. SOLUTION: In the lens barrel 2 and the imaging apparatus 1, a weight 35 is disposed in the surface wall of the body of the housing 4, which resonates when the stepping motor for moving the zoom lens operates. Accordingly, the natural frequency of the housing 4 is changed, thereby securely preventing resonance of the housing 4 when the stepping motor for moving the zoom lens is operated.
