A PATH RECOVERY METHOD AND APPARATUS USING CANDIDATE PATH IN AODV ROUTING PROTOCOL

A path recovery method using a candidate path in an AODV routing protocol and an apparatus thereof are provided to reduce excessive network traffic and bandwidth burden and shorten delay time taken for path recovery, thereby shortening data transmission disconnection time. A middle node recognizing path disconnection determines whether candidate path information exists in its own routing table(900). If the candidate path information exists, a path request message is transmitted to a candidate node through the candidate path information(902). The middle node determines whether a path response message is received from the candidate node(906). If the path response message is received, the middle node resumes data transmission through the candidate path(908).
