摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system for an internal combustion engine improving control accuracy and response of a throttle valve and improving drivability. SOLUTION: Actual throttle opening TPS and accelerator opening APS are detected (S14, S16), target throttle opening THd of the throttle valve is calculated (S18) based on the accelerator opening, deviation (control deviation d) of the actual throttle opening from the target throttle opening is calculated (S20), and the operation of the electric motor is controlled (S24, S30, S34) so as to reduce the deviation by executing one of full step drive control for driving the electric motor at a full step angleθf, micro step drive control for driving the electric motor at a micro step angleθm which is made by dividing the full step angleθf, and variable step drive control for driving the electric motor at a step angleθv which changes in response to the deviation.
