PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict users' intentions and determine routes even along pressed tracks containing sections of which the pressing has not been detected. SOLUTION: A map display apparatus for displaying routes includes an information storage means (3) for storing road map data including links connecting between nodes; a display means (6) for reading road map data stored in the information storage means and displaying road maps; a link prediction means (4b) for detecting pressed tracks on a displayed road map and predicting links intended by a user on the basis of at least two pressed tracks separated by a non-detected section of which the pressing has not been detected; and a route determination means (4c) for determining a route connecting between the pedicted links. The link prediction means performs matching processing on the pressed tracks and the links and predicts the links on the basis of the presence or absence of inflection points in the vicinity of the position of an end point of each pressed track.
