PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the bucket of a centrifuge, strong, elastic and facilitated in assembling and manufacturing. SOLUTION: The bucket 130 can hold a sample container 150 in the rotary centrifuge 100. The bucket has a receptacle 160 to receive the sample container and a trunnion 170 joined to the bucket. The trunnion has a plurality of cutouts 220 that each defines a flexible span 200 that is sufficiently thin to flex under application of a centrifugal force generated by the rotary centrifuge, and pivot pins 140 allowing the bucket to pivot under the application of the centrifugal force. The receptacle has an open end 163 having an internal surface with a tapered groove 255 and a self-seating cap 230 having pegs 260 sized to fit in the tapering groove. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
