PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of ensuring viewing angle and aperture ratio, at the same time. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes pixels defined by a large number and including at least first and second domains forming electric fields in the mutually different directions; pixel electrodes arranged on the first and second domains; common electrodes, alternately arranged to the pixel electrodes that form a lateral electric field; a contact part, electrically connected to the common electrode arranged at a boundary part between the first and second domains; and a common line electrically connected to the contact part and disposed at the pixels which mutually adjoin the pixels where the contact part is disposed.
