PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and surely enable a function in each apparatus composed of a plurality of apparatuses with one license key. SOLUTION: In the apparatus 10 including a first apparatus 1 and a second apparatus 12 cooperating with the first apparatus, a key input means 13a receives input of a first license key generated by converting information showing a predetermined function in the first apparatus and unique information of the first apparatus. A key conversion means 11a extracts the information showing the predetermined function by converting the first license key inversely to the conversion in the generation thereof. A key generation means 13b generates a second license key by converting the unique information of the acquired second apparatus 12 and information showing the same predetermined function. The predetermined function in the first apparatus 11 is enabled by the first license key, and the same predetermined function is enabled in the second apparatus by the second license key.
