<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geared motor capable of suppressing the wear of its worm wheel made of resin. <P>SOLUTION: A slide contacting surface 46 to make slide contact with the rotating worm wheel 24 is formed as a plane facing in the axial direction of a center shaft 26 and is provided on the top face of a boss part 26B made of metal. A gear housing 18 is molded from a resin including glass fibers. Accordingly, when the rotating worm wheel 24 makes slide contact with the gear housing 18, the worm wheel 24 made of resin is likely to wear as it is scraped with the glass fibers included in the gear housing 18. However the rotating worm wheel 24 rotates in slide contact with the slide contacting surface 46 of metal.
