PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initiator excellent in photopolymerization reaction. SOLUTION: This oxime ester compound is expressed by formula I [wherein, R1is an alkenyl, a heteroarylalkyl, an alkoxycarbonylalkyl, a phenoxycarbonylalkyl, a heteroaryloxycarbonylalkyl, a heteroarylthioalkyl, or an alkyl substituted by an amino, an aminoalkyl or an -N(R4)(OR5) group; R2is an alkyl; R4, R5are each independently H or an alkylcarbonyl; and Ar is a naphthyl, thienyl or furyl group which may be substituted as desired].
