The brush has a set of bristles (3) attached to inner side of a fissured, rotational symmetric brushing tool (2) with diameter larger than that of a workpiece (1) i.e. turbine. A combined trimming-sharpening-brushing of a workpiece surface is performed by utilizing the tool automatically. The workpiece and tool axes do not lie on top of each other. A relative movement between tool cuts and the surface of the workpiece is ensured by rotation of the tool and the workpiece. The bristles are made of metal, plastic and composite materials. An independent claim is also included for a method for performing combined trimming and brushing of a workpiece i.e. turbine.
