PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device for AC solenoid valves capable of detecting overload during spool lock of the AC solenoid valves etc. at low cost and of preventing burnout of coils of the AC solenoid valves by blocking power supply during overload. SOLUTION: The protective device for AC solenoid valves is provided with switch parts SW1-SWn for turning on/off AC current flowing in the coils of the AC solenoid valves EV1-EVn, a resistor Rs for detecting the AC current flowing in the coils of the AC solenoid valves EV1-EVn, an AC current determination part 11 for determining the AC current flowing in the coils of the AC solenoid valves EV1-EVn detected by the resistor Rs and a control part 13 for controlling the solid-state relays SW1-SWn based on the determination result of the AC current determination part 11. When the AC current determination part 11 determines that the AC current flowing in the coils of the AC solenoid valves EV1-EVn detected by the resistor Rs exceeds a predetermined value, the solid-state relays SW1-SWn are turned off by the control part 13.
