The firing mechanism of a firearm includes a number of pivotally mounted parts (such as a sear or a trigger (1) or a cocking piece). In order to select the trigger pressure necessary to produce firing, a plurality of holes (1<1>...) extends through the thickness of the pivotally mounted part to register with corresponding holes (2<1>,...) in the body of the firearm to provide respective sets of registering holes, and a linking pin (4) extends through a said set in order to provide, for any given applied trigger pressure, a certain moment about the linking pin dependent upon the particular set of registering holes selected. <IMAGE> |
