PURPOSE:To increase the adhesion between a blade and a jacket by an adhesive and to prevent the jacket from being peeled off by roughening the outer peripheral surface of the blade by a sand blast, etc., as to the flexible pipe of the insertion part of an endoscope. CONSTITUTION:A flex 3 formed by winding a metallic plate spirally is fitted in the flexible pipe 1. The blade 4 made of metal is provided to its outer periphery. This blade 4 is formed by braiding a wire group 7 of about 8-12 metallic wires and formed in a tubular shape. The outer peripheral surface of the blade 4 is roughened by a mechanical treatment such as a same blade and a bead blast or a chemical treatment using nitric acid, etc. An adhesive is applied to the rough surface of the blade 4 and covered with the jacket 5 of synthetic resin, etc., which is adhered. Thus, the blade surface is roughened, so the adhesive strength between the blade and jacket is increased to prevent the jacket from being peeled off.
