PURPOSE:To facilitate the assembly and handling of a roller synchronizing type one- way clutch and to make it possible to endure against a high load torque so as to enhance the reliability by arranging a plurality of rollers in the circumferential direction of a holder assembly, and by resiliently urging a holder first element and a holder second element coupled to the latter in predetermined directions. CONSTITUTION:When an inner race 2 is to be rotated counterclockwise, relative to an outer race 1, the rotation is inhibited while the clockwise rotation is allowed so that a clutch 10 performs a one-way rotation transmitting function between the outer and inner races 1, 2. In this arrangement, all rollers 13 are held in a holder second element 12 and the projection 12 of a holder first element 11 coupled to the element 12 is inserted into an engaging slot 1b in the outer race 1 so as to be urged leftward by a spring 14. Accordingly, the movements of all rollers 13 are synchronized, and therefore, uniform clutch operation is effected in the circumferential direction. Accordingly, it is possible to facilitate the assembly and handling of the roller synchronizing type one-way clutch, to operate all rollers in synchronization with each other, to allow the same to readily withstand a high load torque while the performance thereof is stable, thereby it is possible to enhance the reliability. |
