PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting method using an earthquake-resistant mat being an adhesive vibration absorber commercially available at a home improvement center or the like as a falling prevention member to securely support a supported article (supported object) by a supportor for supporting an article such as a plate or jar, preventing the supported object from falling by disaster such as earthquake or human error, and further preventing theft of the article. SOLUTION: A plate stand 10 as the supportor receives the plate 70 by projecting receive portions 12 and 12 formed at a base 11, and the bottom 71 of the plate is bonded to an attachment member 50 provided at a back panel 16 with an earthquake-resistant mat 60 so as to be accurately secured.
