PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved synchronizing ring not enlarged in structural thickness while guaranteeing that an inner ring with lugs for preventing rotation is firmly locked and held in the synchronizing ring at all times in every operating state in regard to the synchronizing ring for a synchronizing device of a switchable gear changing transmission. SOLUTION: The synchronizing ring has a surface 7 provided with a recess for fixing the inner ring with lugs, and a raised portion and/or an offset portion 11. The inner ring 8 is provided with a cutout 12, and the offset portion 11 is engaged with the cutout 12 to prevent the overall structural height 13 of a synchronizing ring set composed of the inner ring 8 and the synchronizing ring in the mounted state, from being enlarged by the offset portion 11.
