PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device preventing the unevenness of sheet end edges when a sheet bunch is moved and set at a predetermined fold position, and preventing positional deviation of fold when folding at the fold position. SOLUTION: The sheet folding device comprises a sheet guide for holding the sheet bunch at a predetermined fold position, a sheet end regulating means regulating the sheet tip ends supported by the sheet guide, a first folding roll means disposed at the fold position, and a folding blade means inserting the sheet bunch supported by the sheet guide into the folding roll means. The sheet end regulating means comprises a grip means gripping one end edge of the sheets supported by the sheet guide, and a shift means moving the position of the grip means along the sheet guide.
