PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curable organic silicon composition and a cured material from the same useful as a curable silicone material which gives a cured material excellent in high hardness, transparency crack resistance, and heat-resistance, a sealing material for an optical device such as an optical element, a sealing material for an electronic device such as other semiconductor elements and an electric insulation coating material. SOLUTION: The curable organic silicon composition comprises (A) an organosilicon compound containing a polycyclic hydrocarbon group which is an addition reaction product of (a) an organosilicon compound having two hydrogen atoms combined with a silicon atom in one molecule and (b) a polycyclic hydrocarbon compound having two hydrosilylation reactive carbon-carbon double bonds in one molecule, and has two hydrogen atoms combined with a silicon atom in one molecule, (B) a siloxane based compound having two or more alkenyl groups combined with a silicon atom in one molecule and (C) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst.
