The roasted potato chips, potato sticks or grated potato products and its production process, comprise treating potato raw materials in a microwave device without deep-fry in the microwave field. The capacity of the microwave device for treating exact quantity of 100 g of potato raw materials present in the microwave field at defined limit values is 800 watts and a treatment time of 8-12 minutes. Before the microwave treatment, the sliced potato raw material has a thickness of 1-3 mm. Thin potato slices are put on each other and are treated in the microwave field.
