PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor which is available at a low cost and does not cost much labor since the use of the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor as a medical treatment drug has to be based on the prescription of a doctor and furthermore, its cost is high and, in the case of using an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibiting peptide, a treatment such as hydrolysis of each peptide is required and extraction and the like cost much labor.
SOLUTION: It is found that the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity exists in koji and the extract of koji with water and it is found that the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibition activity showing digestive enzyme resistance also exists in a peptide obtained by partially decomposing proteins present in koji and the peptide has been identified. Further, the blood-pressure reduction by intake of koji has been confirmed in the human monitoring test.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
