<p>A process for manufacturing a ring-shaped member, in which not only can material loss be zeroed to thereby attain reduction of processing cost but also a ring-shaped member can be obtained readily from a pipe material through a reduced number of process steps. There is provided a process for manufacturing ring-shaped member (10) from metallic pipe material (1), comprising the steps of carrying out stretch forming so as to produce flange portion (1c) at an end portion of the pipe material (1); and cutting off the flange portion (1c) from the pipe material (1) to thereby obtain ring-shaped member (10).</p>
