The device (14) has a circuit-breaker (19) including a body (26) with a switching unit and a channel (28) for extinction of an electric arc produced during a disconnection. A wall (42) has an evacuation opening (42A) with a flap (46) movable between closing and opening positions. The channel has a rectilinear central duct (38) that defines an axis (X-X) permitting propagation of the arc and is delimited by metallic fragmentation plates arranged laterally around the duct. The flap and the switching unit are arranged along the axis of the channel.
