PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an electrode plate of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery for preventing sharp burrs produced at a peripheral edge of the sectioned electrode plate after cutting, and to provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery using the same electrode plate.

SOLUTION: In a slitter for conveying a sheet of a wide electrode plate via a plurality of guide rolls, sharp burrs produced on the peripheral edge of a cross section of an electrode plate after cutting are considerably restrained as only both edges of each narrow electrode plate are pressed with a press roll after cutting the wide electrode plate into a plurality of narrow electrode plates by a cutting blade, and consequently, the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery superior in its safety can be obtained.
