A portable terminal is provided to offer a double-width display unit of swung horizontal state, a stereo sound system, and an always-exposed key operation unit, thereby accomplishing convenient portability as improving user interfacing environment. A swing unit(30) consists of the first area(302) opened/closed by a body unit(20), depending on whether a swing action is performed, and the second area(304) always opened regardless of the body unit. The body unit comprises as follows. An upper part(210) opens/closes the first area according to motion of the swing unit, and faces an upper side of the swing unit. A lower part(220) stands as facing the upper part in parallel, and faces a lower side of the swing unit. A middle part integratedly connects the upper part with the lower part.
