<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch operation modes between when only writing characters and when reading handwriting data without causing a user inconvenience. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic writing tool 1 includes a pen-shaped housing 10 having a pen point 11 for writing; a detection member 15 being disposed at a part of the housing 10 and detecting a motion in a prescribed direction (e.g., right turn) of the housing 10; and a generation means 20 generating handwriting data 32 of the character written by the tool 1 when the operation mode of the tool 1 is determined to be a mode generating the handwriting data 32 of the character, based on the detection by the member 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
