A MEHTOD FOR INFORMING THAT THE NETWORK SIDE SUPPORTS THE MOBILE IP ENHANCEMENT CAPABILITY

A method for informing that the network side supports the mobile IP enhancement capability includes that: the network side transmits the message indicating the mobile IP enhancement capability which is supported by the network to the mobile terminal; the mobile terminal will request the mobile IP enhancement service based on the mobile IP enhancement capability indication supported by the network according to the mobile IP enhancement criterion if it supports the mobile IP enhancement capability; the mobile terminal will request the mobile IP service according to the criterion which does not support the mobile IP enhancement if it does not support the mobile IP enhancement capability. The packet data access gateway can be the packet data service node or the control access point in the CDMA developing network. Therefore the method for informing that the network side supports the mobile IP enhancement capability enables the mobile terminal know whether the network support the mobile IP enhancement and does not need re-transmit the request and therefore avoids the waste of the clear resource.
