<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength converting member for converting the light emitted by a light emitting device to the ideal light beam in the method for manufacturing a light emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the light emitting device includes the steps of preparing for the wavelength converting member including a fluorescent material to be excited with the light emitted from a light emitting element, determining the reference light beam having the standard spectrum, determining the ideal light beam having the ideal spectrum, obtaining a first function by comparison of the standard spectrum with the ideal spectrum, obtaining a second function by comparison of the standard spectrum with a radiation spectrum by the fluorescent material, adjusting mixture of the fluorescent material on the basis of the comparison result of the first function and the second function, mounting a light emitting element on a base material, and arranging the wavelength converting member adjusted in the mixture of the fluorescent material at the upper part of the light emitting element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
