<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing unit, wherein toner leakage is hardly caused even if it falls in the axial direction of a supply roller. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: the supply roller 74, which is disposed rotatably in a case 71 having a toner storage part storing toner and which is used to supply toner to a developing roller that supplies the toner to an image carrier in an image forming apparatus; and a partition wall 75, which is disposed in the axial direction of the supply roller in the toner storage part and partially separates the space of the toner storage part into a space 72a accommodating the supply roller and the other space 72b. Both ends of the partition wall 75 in the axial direction of the supply roller are cut away.
